TRIED JESUS?

If you're feeling tired, anxious, angry or hopeless, you’re not alone. Life can leave us worn down and wondering if there’s more, and that’s where Jesus comes in.

Who? What? When? & How?

Who is Jesus?

  • Jesus is the Son of God and the Saviour of humanity. He is fully God and fully human (John 1:1; Matthew 16:16).
  • Jesus was born as a baby. Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life (Matthew 1:18–25; Hebrews 4:14–16).
  • Jesus had a public ministry. At around the age of 30 He began teaching, healing, and performing miracles (Luke 3:23).
  • Jesus is also called the Christ (Messiah), which means “Anointed One.” He came to fulfil God’s promises and save us from sin (Matthew 16:16).

What Did Jesus Do?

  • Jesus taught. About God’s Kingdom, love, forgiveness, and the way to eternal life (Matthew 5–7).
  • Jesus performed miracles. Healing the sick, calming storms, raising the dead, and feeding the hungry (Matthew 4:24; John 6:5–13).
  • Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Offering forgiveness and a way back to God (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).
  • Jesus rose from the dead. Three days later, proving His power over sin and death, and offering eternal life to those who believe (Matthew 28:1–10; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4).

Why Did Jesus Come?

  • Jesus came to show God’s love. Jesus came to show us how much God loves us (John 3:16).
  • Jesus came to teach us how to live. He taught us to love God and love others, and He lived as an example of kindness, humility, and service (Matthew 22:37–40).
  • Jesus came to save us from sin. Jesus died so our sins could be forgiven and our relationship with God restored (Romans 6:23; 1 Peter 2:24).
  • Jesus came to fulfil God’s plan. He is the promised Messiah who came to bring salvation to the world (Luke 4:21).
  • Jesus came to offer new life. Through His resurrection, Jesus gives us new life—both now and forever (John 10:10; John 3:16).

In short: Jesus came to show God’s love, save us from sin, and offer us a new life with Him.

How?

Would you like a relationship with Jesus? Would you like Him to be part of your life, your closest friend and guide? It’s not complicated. You can start by praying something like this:

Lord Jesus, I want you in my life. I welcome you into my heart I know that there are things in my life that need to change.

I know that You love me. I’m sorry for the wrong things I’ve done. Please forgive me and help me make good choices. Help me to develop and strengthen my relationship with you.

I believe You died for me and came back to life. Come into my heart and be my friend forever. Thank You for loving me.

Amen.
